Yukinori Hasumi

He was questioning about his ordinary life which didn’t contain success nor failure. When he was 30, he quit his job.
His main subject is cityscapes in Tokyo and New York. When he was a student at kindergarten, he was impressed by Sunshine 60, a skyscraper in Tokyo he saw from the highway for the first time on a school excursion, and Gotham City in Batman (1989) directed by Tim Burton. These experiences grew his interest in skyscrapers and cityscapes. Since then he has been fascinated by solid and massive buildings that human beings created.
He continues to take compelling pictures pursuing an ideal that reflects on the cities he imagines in the metropolis, Tokyo and New York where he receives a lot of inspiration.
